Prop Busters R/C Club

Introduction:

The Prop Busters R/C Club is a area radio controlled (R/C) aircraft
enthusiasts club that has been in existence for over twenty years. We are a
chartered club with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA Charter 1321) The purpose of the club is to bring together at specific times those persons who are interested in radio controlled model aircraft and to improve their knowledge and develop their skills and for fellowship. We fly at Nelson Field. The Field is located 3/4 of a mile North of State Route 15 at Browns IL. Browns is located about 12 miles west of Mt Carmel IL. Turn north on county road 900e at the FS plant you will see the field when you reach county road 1000N. Right turn on 1000N then left turn into the parking area. This is a private air field that is 4000 feet long and a 100 ft wide. The elevation is 418 ft. We fly off of the south end.

Our Club meets on the first Monday of the month. Anyone interested in R/C flying is welcome. The meeting will be at the field during the summer and there will be a cookout before. Some members will come early and fly. During the winter months check the web page for place and time of meeting.

Twice a year we host a Fly In for other clubs in the area. One is on Sat before Fathers Day in June and the other one is on the last Sunday in September. Radio Controlled aircraft pilots from about 150 mile radius will be at the field to show us what they can do. It will be a great show and the public is invited to come and watch 8:00 am -till? ATTENTION FOR 2007 and 2008 WE WILL COMBINE THE TWO EVENTS INTO A THREE DAY EVENT ON FATHERS DAY WEEKEND.

Thanks
